Hotsprings in Sloquet

Description

On the western edges of Garibaldi Provincial Park in a very remote region sits one of BC's most beautiful natural hotsprings.

This is a photo of the first pool and the geo-thermal fed waterfall that produces the hot water. Almost 100 degrees in the first pool.

Steam can be seen rising from the waterfall.

I am absolutely captivated by this scene. Rock face with a misty waterfall that has many splits, along with some gorgeously vibrant green hanging moss.
The balance in colour and tone is phenomenal. Highlighted areas are incredibly appropriate and balanced very well. The glinting shine on the wet rocks to the leftmost of this photograph are a pleasing detail that adds even more vibrancy to this scene.

There are very few, very minor things I have found I am slightly "uncomfortable" with in this photograph. Two small things. I find that the hanging branches from an either barely or completely non-visible tree, which are hanging at the top center of this piece feel out of place, and slightly distracting for me personally (It may be the tree to the top left if my eyes do not deceive me.)
My second thought was far right, where the closest rock face touches the water. There is a bright reflection of light at the edge of the picture here, upon the rock face, where I feel it is also a tad distracting.

Other than those two small things, I find this photo to be overwhelming with a sense of being there. The perspective is simply wonderful for this particular place, and the way everything is reflecting upon the eerily still, swampy looking water adds this dominant, calming vibe to everything involved.

Top-notch. I love your work. Thank you for taking this photograph.
